Welcome!
We have begun building the forest labyrinths! PDF Print E-mail
20/02/2008

It has started! The city of labyrinths has begun to arise from the unmanifested. Two days ago, the first pile of stones arrived (35 tons!), and today, on Valentine's Day, the labyrinth of energy was built, and we have begun to build the labyrinth of love and creativity. If there was any doubt as to how the labyrinths would fit into the forest, it is completely gone now. Namely, the labyrinth of energy grew together with its surroundings and immediately began to emit immense energy. Under 'read more' you can read how it all looked, and you can also find several photos. Any helpers who are interested (we need men strength in this phase), contact us!

I have to admit, I grabbed my head when the stones arrived! Oh my, 35 tons is a lot, a lot of stones! However, after it was unloaded, the pile did not look as scary. The stones came from the quarry located close by, which means they were all earth bones. Some rocks weigh over a hundred kilos, but most of it are stones that we can use, around 20 to 30 centimetres big.

This is how it looks after the unloading:

Bear in mind that our calculation predicts we will need ten times more stone, which means around 350 tons! However, our first construction disproved these calculations a bit. It seems that we will need 30% less stones, which is excellent for our budget as well as the speed of construction.

Braco, Zvonimir and Adrian participated in the construction. First, we cleared the area planned for this labyrinth (south part of the terrain, facing south). We left the trees, and removed bushes, which left a few trees embraced by the labyrinth. One of our dilemmas was what the trees would look inside the labyrinth – you can find the answer on the photos.

It looks perfect! As soon as we stared building it, it became clear that it emits immense. A powerful labyrinth, no doubt about it! The centre is significantly larger, so that more people can stay in it at the same time (which is excellent for ritual passings).

As the construction progressed, the labyrinth was slowly coming to life. We never planned in advance how it would look (of course, the basic form is always known, but not the details). However, soon it became clear that the selection of stones is imposing by itself. We placed larger stones on the line from the entrance to the top, which gave it firmness and sharpness, as is proper for a labyrinth of energy.

After this one, we are planning to build all other labyrinths. I am calling any potential assistants (men or women who feel strong enough to lift and put together 20-30 kilos heavy stones), to contact me by e-mail. Namely, we will be building the labyrinths for the next few months, mostly during the week (not in the weekends). Therefore, we especially need the ones who can come during the week.

We are planning to open the city of labyrinths in the second weekend of September (13.09.2008 – Days of friendship and creativity), when we will have a work action to decorate the woods around the labyrinths, put the finishing touch to details and decoration, cleaning, etc. We will also have a small workshop about the labyrinths organised by The Art of Giving organisation (which means, free of charge), with a ritual passing through the labyrinths. Therefore, if everything is ok and there are enough willing helpers and builders, as well as some sponsors and financial benefactors, the city of labyrinths will be built and open this year!

Help us, since the entire world will benefit from this, especially the ones who will direct a part of their energy into the city of labyrinths.

Labyrinth of love and creativity

Couple of days latter, on February 19th, we buit the labyrinth of love and creativity. This one was more time consuming (it is bigger, and also further from our pile of stones!) because we used quite heavy ones for the outer border (stones up to 150 kilos) and dug them in the ground!

When you do things like that suddenly you undrestand how ancient people, who moved enormous rocks from one place to another, must had some kind of special technology to do that! For now, we only have our hands, but we will learn more in the process, that is for sure!

Look, how beautiful this one is!
